Branded Content & Integrated Experience Concept
Creative Strategy / Branded Content / Audience Engagement
A cross-platform road trip concept designed to make Subaru part of the experience, connecting television storytelling, digital interaction, and audience participation in one integrated campaign.
Create a branded content experience that introduced Subaru vehicles to audiences in a way that felt natural, engaging, and relevant.
The opportunity was to move beyond traditional advertising and integrate Subaru into content people would actually want to follow.
A road trip is more than a destination. It's an experience shaped by discovery, decisions, and the unexpected.
By making the journey itself the content, Subaru could demonstrate its vehicles' capabilities while giving audiences a reason to participate in the story.
Make the brand part of the experience, not the interruption.
The concept centered on a four-week road trip featuring four groups traveling in four Subaru vehicles.
The experience connected four elements:
Television: Introduce the travelers, follow their journeys, and build awareness through episodic storytelling.
Digital: Extend the experience through webisodes, interactive maps, route clues, and road trip content.
Social: Invite audiences to vote, interact with travelers, and help shape the experience through social platforms.
Product Integration: Demonstrate Subaru features naturally throughout the journey rather than relying on traditional product messaging.
The proposal also considered the practical requirements of bringing the concept to life, including production timelines, resource needs, usage rights, and budget.
An estimated $125,000 in external production costs was outlined separately from media investment.
The result was a developed campaign concept connecting content, consumer participation, and product storytelling within one integrated experience.
